Dad was sweeping with a broom
Gran applied more sweet perfume
My cardboard rocket went ‘kaboom’
And we all ignored the elephant in the room.

There’s an elepant in the room. There’s also an elephant on the bench, in the pool, up the tree and on the roof. Inspired by Janet and Allan Ahlberg’s iconic Peepo, The Elephant in the Room is a hilarious, rhyming tour around suburban houses and backyards. But with one not so very small difference!

Here is the interview I did on Triple R’s Breakfasters about the book.

Illustrator Greg Ure is a freelance illustrator and relief print artist. This is their first book together. Our coming together is a hearbreaking story of the sort that happens in publishing every fifteen minutes.
